Introduction
Our digital tools enable the testing of proposals from multiple perspectives and the modelling of development scenarios to assess their impact before making decisions. This can significantly improve decision-making which reduces project risks and costs.
We use of our highly visual digital tools and immersive experiences to break through accessibility barriers in the planning system. We make inaccessible planning-speak and overly complex communication, much more understandable and enjoyable for people to engage with.
Clients gain full ownership of their 3D models which are hosted on a shared platform. This encourages data sharing with stakeholders and project partners which improves collaboration across projects. It also allows for greater flexibility, control, and long-term cost savings.
We bring places to life through our immersive technology and digital tools, transforming how people experience and interact with physical spaces. Our digital tools and platforms help communicate narratives of the development of places and can be used to create slick, user-friendly videos, to help tell stories.
Our award-winning work in 3D and virtual reality also helps support behaviour change. Our immersive approach helps people ‘feel’ what future places will be like, stirring emotional connections and changing behaviours.
Our products
-
Digital Urban Virtual Reality
Virtual reality (VR), is a fully-immersive 3D experience, bringing the human into a virtual world via a VR headset. People can explore a model of a space or place simply by turning their heads – and can travel within the model to explore a large areas.
-
Digital Urban Explorer
Our Urban Explorer software allows easy exploration of places using a gamepad. Participants can explore as a pedestrian, ride a bike, catch a bus or train, completing pre-arranged quests to learn about the opportunities the that proposal will provide.
-
Digital Urban Interactive Touch Table
Our digital media tables encourage shared conversations about a space or place. They enable viewing the 3D model of a place, toggling between before and after proposals and dropping into the street view. This can include new buildings or infrastructure, active travel, and overlaying constraints, such as 1:100 flood maps.

Testimonials
Watford’s digital urban model is a great tool, helping us with our capacity studies, the development of our taller building policy, and supporting our remote design review sessions. It has helped us to have confidence and achieve better outcomes for all parties optimising the potential for each site
We're delighted with our digital model for Birkenhead. It is proving to be a real asset, helping staff, senior members and councillors all to engage in the development and design of major regeneration projects and masterplans.
Thank you to Digital Urban for providing an impressive 3D model for Wirral. The model was used to support our successful £45m Towns Fund application. We used the model to create a video as part of our submission allowing us to demonstrate the scale and ambition behind our regeneration programme.
